Such beautiful imagery on this card designed by Chris-Anne. On the more traditional Rider Waite deck, we see a young girl closing the mouth of a lion in a act of courage and taming. However, the courage that is represented by this card, is inner courage. In this depiction, the showing of the two sides to our soul is very powerful.
As this card is Major Arcana, it is about life lessons and the challenges that we must face. These challenges are inner battles within our soul. The fears, anxieties and doubts that sometimes seem to rule our very essence. This card is about taming those traits and quietening our inner voices that can lead us away from peace.
