General Reading for May 11th – 15th 2020
This is a general reading for the next five days beginning Monday 11th May until Friday 15th May. However, time is fluid so it is relevant to whenever you see this. It may not resonate for everyone. Cards drawn were as follows. Please note, the five cards are not necessarily read chronologically but, rather, combine to give an overall impression.
Three Major Arcana cards are headed our way. Universal energy is in our future.
Many of us are looking to move on from our current circumstances. Head space is all over the place and, to be frank, we are sick of the mind chatter. We are ready to take control, take action and find balance.
The 6 of Swords (Card 1) is about moving on from our current situation and all the confusion or pain it may have caused.
The Moon (Card 2) suggests we are ready to face whatever may be coming towards us despite the fact it may still be unknown.
The Emperor (Card 3) is about taking control and being in charge of our own lives. It may also indicate we are currently having to listen to or bow to the rules of those in authority.
The Knight of Wands (card 4) speaks of embracing our passions. Doing that which brings us joy.
Temperance (Card 5) is about balance and patience.
So, what does this mean for us? I see a lot of truth in these cards for where we are as a society at the moment. As much as we understand the need for keeping safe, the social distancing and the restrictions we have been placed under (following the energy of the Emperor), we are ready to embrace the 6 of Swords and move away from the current mindset to embrace a calmer future.
So much is still hidden. We find ourselves emerged in the Moon energy of not being able to see things clearly. Just as the moon casts shadows and can sometimes create confusion around what we see and what we THINK we can see, the current state of our future feels unsure.
However, the Moon also encourages us to tap into our intuition. What does your heart say at this time? Not sure? Journal your thoughts, re-evaluate what is important to you and what this time of uncertainty has taught you about yourself. This is what leads us into the energy of the Emperor, The Knight of Wands and the Temperance card. Become the leader of your own destiny. Of course, we still have to follow the guidelines set before us but this doesn’t mean we have lost control of our own power. Find that which brings you joy and ignites your passion for life. Embrace it.
As we are constantly being told, we are in unprecedented times. The Temperance card reminds us to find a balance with what we can do, can’t do and should do. It also asks us to be patient. Patience is hard, particularly when we can’t see the future. However, in the last couple of days we have begun to see a faint glimmer of light. Our Emperor energy is rising to the forefront. We are being given more freedom and, with that freedom comes responsibility.
Be a wise leader of your own destiny, respect those around you and remember not all of us are walking the same path with the same mindset. Tap into your intuition, have patience and find a balance as you lead yourself into calmer waters.
